Chasm



Regardez-moi ça. Je n'ai pas encore acheté ce jeu parce que je suis encore dans Ori and the Blind Forest ... mais Chasm est devenu un véritable fleuron du Pixel Art de ce millénaire, dessiné par Dan Fessler (aka Indigo Arts). J'ai découvert son développement il y a bien longtemps sur pixelation... On y reviendra.

The ground tile fits on a 16x16 grid with one slight twist: rather than having all 16x16 blocks, we have 18-pixels wide blocks next to 14-pixels blocks. Pairs of blocks work on a 32x32 pattern quite well. 

This is not mine. This is pixel study from a screenshot Dan Fessler published for the then-in-progress game 'Chasm' for which I've been tracking gamedev since it was announced on pixelation. 2022 bonus: the progress steps for that mockup are now available too..
